DNS

Hi folks!!! Sorry for the lack of updates, but this is the first area at the Hill Country State Natural Area where I've had a signal on my phone. Unfortunately, Brownie was unable to even start this race. So no "DNF," but a "DNS." (did not start). His ankle is swollen and he has been icing it and has it taped up. He is bummed about not running, but still is in good spirits. We all still got up at 4am and JT helped check in runners. Then we have been going to aid stations. I know it has to suck because he has really been looking forward to this race, but he is looking ahead to Sunmart. Says he should be ok in two weeks. This shot was taken at the Equestrian aid station.

On another note...Melissa came in after her first 25 miles looking good. In no way did it look like she had just run a little more than a marathon! By the way, she has a killer body. Don't think she has one ounce of fat on her!

Once we go into town for lunch, Brownie can give his thoughts. Bye for now.

P.S. Melissa came in at mile 35 and still looked good! I can't remember what time she came in. Maybe 1:30pn? But it is getting hot out here. Hope that doesn't take a toll on folks.
It is now 2:25 pm. On on to pizza in Bandera.
