Walnut Creek Hash - December 30

The return of Social!

1st Lay for TABC and Just Michael

Too bad I didn't give my camera to someone when I got called in for biting TAF...at the Red Dress X-mas Run...on the stomach. It was 10 days ago and he still had a huge bruise. Oopsie. Anyways, all "victims" of my bites were called into the circle. Pretty funny because I forgot about some folks I had "nibbled on."

You can see all of the hash photos here.

Fun at the On After

Where's all the food?

I moved back home yesterday (and when I say move, I mean threw everything up at the top of the stairs).
Put on my hash shoes and bolted to the hash. Got home late last night (well, it seemed late after all the beers I downed). Hadn't had a beer in a while...had just had wine while at my mom's house. Speaking of, I miss all the food at her place! There isn't crap at my place, except chips, crackers and energy bars...who wants that after a day of drinking? Guess I need to finally hit the grocery store. It sure was nice having all of those home cooked meals. Guess I'm back to sandwiches and frozen dinners!

Mas Red Dress Run pics....

Click here to see Bonesucker's pics. She has some great ones!

And Panther did a little write up. Click here to read about his version of the pub run since I just posted pics!

According to Bonesucker's pics, I felt up Leslie! Totally didn't remember running into him downtown until I saw this pic. Wow, how the memory fades after many adult beverages....

Hashers at the last bar, plus Panther, of course!

No Country for Old Men

Last night Mike, Mo and I had a kid free evening and went to the movies. We went to see this one. It wasn't what I was expecting after seeing Brownie's quote reference, but it was quite good. Violent at times, but great acting throughout...and great writing. I'm not sure I like the ending, but I don't want to give it away.

Here is what Brownie said:
great quote!
I haven't seen "No Country For Old Men," but I'm going to after I heard about this quote:

Llewellyn Moss (main character), when asked by the homocidal, maniacal killer Anton Chigurh what happened to the 2 Million dollars: "It's gone. I spent a million and a half on women and booze. I guess I just wasted the rest."

Hate to disappoint Wanker Boy, but Llewellyn didn't really spend the money on whores and booze. He was just trying to lie about not having it anymore. So no sex in this movie. Sorry. Also, he didn't say it to the homocidal, creepy, maniac guy. He said it to Woody Harrelson's character, Carson Wells. But damn....the creepy bad guy is CREEPY.

I heard it's up for many awards!

Christmas Holidays

So I've been living at my mom's house since December 19. My brother Michael, his wife Monique and little 18 month old Mia have been in town visiting and it makes it easier if we're all under the same roof. One of the funny things I've learned is that Mia's favorite song is "Stronger," by Kanye West. Seriously? She calls it "O" because at one point in the song he goes, "Ooooooo" over and over again. It cracks me up. The very first thing she will say once we get in the car is, "Daddy, O." And as soon as the song is over she starts saying it again until we replay it. It's funny to watch her dance to it. My brother didn't play children's songs when she was a baby...he always just played his music, so now he isn't stuck listening to classical or kids music in the car.

Another thing is that "Js" must be really hard to say because she can't say "Jenny." What she would say sounded a little like, "AayGee." And from that she started calling me "Aggie." Little does she know, I AM an Aggie! So now I'm Aunt Aggie.

One of my gifts from my mom this year is a fancy schmancy watch. I got a Garmin Forerunner 205! It totally rocks. I tried it out this afternoon for the first time. It's fun to watch my pace....and see just how slow I am. I can only get better from here. Went out for a 28 minute run (or should I say, jog/walk) today. It was absolutely gorgeous here. A perfect day to be outside running. Yesterday I tried out my mom's new bad ass treadmill. I decided not to fight the 35 mph wind and check it out. You can plug in your iPod or even your iPhone and it has killer speakers. Totally rad for those indoor days. That was another 28 minute run. So 2 days in a row so far. Wonder how long I will keep it up?! Hopefully for a while after all the food I've eaten so far over the holidays. My mom has cooked so much delicious stuff...dinner type foods as well as sweets. Everywhere you turn there is food! And I mean good stuff.

(Ha! Another post. You didn't say it couldn't be about my family!)

What a Day!

Thought this week was going to give me the time to clean out my office and my extra storage area for the PAC (we move into a new building next March/April and have until Dec 31 to get everything out of the extra storage or it's chunked). But NOOOOOO. Due to the Primary Elections next March, we are having a Board meeting on January 8. That means documents need to be ready by Jan 2-3 and tomorrow is my last day of work until next year. Helloooo, the filing deadline isn't even until January 2nd! And that's the day everyone returns from the holidays...so not going to be in work mode that day......

Anyway, I thought I was going to kill the PAC Director earlier today. If I heard one more mention of candidate bios I was gonna shoot her. I've got enough crap to work on to give a rats ass about bios. But enough about work....

Have I mentioned how much I hate to pack? Well, I move into my mom's house tonight after work for about 10 days while my brother, his wife and my niece are in town. It took me an hour and a half during lunch to grab things I might need while I'm there. I mean, the weather here has been so back and forth lately. Who knows what the hell the temperature will really be next week! Just so you know...the only thing I hate more than packing is unpacking. Well, that and rubber neckers!

Ok, it's quittin' time. Peace out. On On to the Red Dress Run tomorrow night!!!

P.S. Oh yeah...I'm also driving my mom's awesome sports coupe convertible since a car seat won't fit in a 2-seater. I normally wouldnt like a 76 degree day in December, but yesterday was kick ass convertible weather!!!

It's party time again!

I am off to my department Christmas party. It's at one of our lobbyist's house and not at work, like other lame departments! And we are gonna have alcohol. Woot woot!! Good thing I've recovered from yesterday's nasty hangover.

Oh yeah, and I'm typing this while driving. Why the hell is there traffic at 2pm? It's not like it is a Thursday or Friday!
Oh. It's freakin rubber neckers...a HUGE pet peeve of mine.

Party on Wayne!

Ho, Ho, Ho...It's the Hashmas Party!

Saturday night was Austin's Annual Hashmas Party. It was a good time...or, at least I'm told I had a good time! Memory is a little fuzzy for the last half of the night. Great food, tons of alcohol choices, beer pong, flippy cup and awards. Can you believe I won DOTA this year?

About midnight, Squeezin' Semen and I left the party to go see my co-worker's band play at Ruta Maya. They rocked! Then back to the party for more fun. I think. Don't remember any of this part.

Helped pick up the house on Sunday morning and grabbed some food with Elvis at Juan in a Million. It was my very first time there. Delicious!

You can see all of the party pics here.

Then it was time to head home, shower, rest and get ready for the hash. About half way to the start of the hash I started to feel sick. Had to hold down throwing up until I reached the beginning...and of course the start was way the hell down south! I pulled my hair back into a ponytail to get ready and as soon as we arrived I bolted out of the car and immediately yacked. Lovely. Guess I was the DOTA at the party...and I paid for it on Sunday!

12 Ounce X-mas Card

Went to Ginny's last night for the 12 Ounce X-mas Card celebration that TAF and Grabber were hosting. Had a great time! But that's expected. I've never had a bad time at Ginny's...well, except for that one time when some solemn singer was putting us to sleep. And there was a bus load of visitors just sitting, watching. Nobody was dancing. Nobody was talking. We got the hell outta there. I think we ended up at the Pleasure Palace. Now THERE'S a place where I've ALWAYS had a great time. Woot woot! I'd love to have that bar in my house.

Ok, back to last night. Wasn't in super photo mode. But here is what I got.

Ok, this chick is only 13 and was rockin' the fiddle. Check out her web site here. And read about her in CBS News here.

So TAF thinks that SMB and I have the same size boobs. Check out the pics to see if you agree. I tried to cup one of mine and one of SMB's to test it out, but she wasn't having it!

I was thinking about hitting Taco Cabana on the way home, but got talked into breakfast at Jim's. Well, I AM a huge breakfast lover! And this helped me to still avoid fast food places. I almost broke down last night in my Schlitz stupor. Thanks Robby Rob! Crispy bacon with eggs and pancakes. Not the healthiest choice, but damn, that crispy bacon was YUMMY!!!

You can see all the pics here.

Interesting Menu

Yeah, I'd like the deep fried gristle, bull penis, traditional Japanese instant curry, with a side of anal gun fucking, please. WTF kind of menu is this? Seriously, Hovis picked this up on his last trip to New York City. Seriously. Didn't hear if he liked the food....

Blah, blah, blah

Ok, so I haven't been updating this much lately. Partly due to me letting a friend borrow my laptop for the past few weeks, partly because I have been busy, busy, busy! I got my computer back this past Sunday, but haven't been home any night this week. I did manage to get all of the pictures from the past couple of weeks loaded. Next job is to get them onto my blog. But that probably won't happen until next week.

I'm about to get off work early. Whoop! Run a million errands before the Merry Martinimas party tonight and then the 12 Down Downs pub crawl in San Antonio is on Saturday. I thought I was gonna be able to cheer on Lulu at her race in Huntsville this Saturday morning, but there just isn't time. I always try to squeeze in way too many things. On Sunday I drive straight to the Austin hash...it's our 1300th run! Sunday night is prep time for Marisa's baby shower on Monday night.

Finally post pics on Tuesday and Wednesday? Nope! Gotta workout with Carol first and then put together the picture show for the Hashmas party. So someday, I will continue with normal picture updates!!!

Hope you all have a splendid weekend. I am totally jazzed about mine!
